To mark the launch of our new branding, we are on the lookout for classic bikers to become the stars of our latest bike ad campaigns.
We have chosen the flagship International Classic MotorCycle Show, at Staffordshire County Showground show, on April 21st – 22nd, to officially reveal our new brand for the very first time, and we’ll also be launching our search for the stars of our raft of 2018 print and digital bike adverts.
Following the recent retirement of Sir Stirling Moss, who has been Peter James Insurance’s brand ambassador for many years, the company is now looking to put its customers at the heart of its advertising.
“Sir Stirling has been a very much-loved and valued brand ambassador, but now we want to take the chance to celebrate the everyday enthusiast, the classic bikers the length and breadth of Britain who are the lifeblood of the movement,” explained PJI’s Trevor Keefe.
“We’re looking for a real mix of good, honest classic bikers and their bikes to be the faces – and wheels - of our new brand – and what better place to launch it all than at Stafford?" The bikers selected will each get a £100 insurance voucher and a framed copy of their ad, which will feature in a range of PJI marketing, from print and digital adverts to show stand graphics.



Stafford show-goers can pick up leaflets on the PJI stand – M63 in Bingley Hall at the show – or people can see to enter, including a photo of themselves and their bike, with a short introduction to themselves and their two wheels before June 8th.
Anyone interested in applying to feature in the new adverts can enter at before June 8th.





Resplendent on this year’s newly-branded show stand will be none other than a Slippery Sam Rep – one of only two Les Williams built Slippery Sam Triumph T150 replicas.

Built using a carefully-prepared version of the 750cc Triumph Trident ohv three-cylinder engine, it made history by winning five consecutive 750 cc class TT races at the Isle of Man, and though it earned its name after a dramatic oil leak at the 1970 Bol d’Or, it is widely recognised as the most celebrated Triumph racer of all time.
The original machine, which was displayed at the National Motorcycle Museum, was destroyed by fire in 2003, though has been completely rebuilt since.

Owner John Abram, co-founder of online directory John’s Motorcycle News , finally acquired the replica in 2014 from a fellow Trident enthusiast after five long years of waiting and, though the bike draws huge amounts of attention wherever it is displayed, he says he would never consider selling it for any amount of money.

Trevor Keefe added: “This year’s Stafford show will be a real whopper for us – with one of Britain’s most famous two-wheeled icon setting-off our new branding nicely – now we just need to find the new faces to star within it.”
