Younger Drivers Wanted for Car Loan Project!

The blossoming Classic Car Loan Project is gearing-up for a 4th year in 2020 with no less than 15 cars on loan to younger enthusiasts – for free

The project, which we at Peter James Insurance have supported from the start, aims to encourage the next generation into the classic car movement by loaning them a classic car for the year and offering support and advice with maintenance and care.

Now project manager Bob Wilkinson is looking for the next round of classic car ‘borrowers’ for 2020.

Applications are invited from those looking to borrow one of a range of cars including:

1929 Ford Model A

1958 Wolseley 1500 Saloon

1968 Morris Minor Traveller right through to more modern classics like:

1987 Volvo 245 Estate

1983 Austin Maestro.

The Peter James Insurance team has created a specially-tailored insurance policy to cover all parties involved as well as contributing to the insurance for each loan car borrower.

Bob Wilkinson explained: “The project is providing a realistic experience for younger drivers who maybe cannot afford a classic just yet but will have ownership as an aim very soon.

“It has been successful in giving younger enthusiasts an extended experience with a classic, with good support from owners and car clubs.

“The current loan car recipients have attended classic shows throughout the year, supported club events, and even travelled to Le Mans - all this plus having a great experience with family and friends on local picnic runs, or dressing-up for Goodwood!”

Drivers preferably over 25 years of age with secure storage can apply to have a classic loan car in 2020.

Contact Bob Wilkinson via www.classiccarloanproject.co.uk where there is a list of cars on offer.
